Well, as of now this is the only method to hide the archive tab in whatsapp. You have to unarchive all of the chats for the same.
The chats would now no longer be archived and you would start appearing as the normal chats.
How to Move Archived Section at the bottom of the chat
Well, as we have discussed above, if you want to hide the archive chats from the top of the chat screen, you have to unarchive all the chats and thay would now be visible as normal chats.
However, if you dont want to unarchive them and want to keep them as archived, you can simply move the archived section at the bottom. Doing this, you wont see the archived section on the top of the chat screen. Follow the steps mentioned below to move the archived section at the bottom.
- Click on the Archived tab.
- Tap on the three dots at the top-right corner.
- Turn “OFF” Keep Chats Archived.
- Go back to the chats
- The Archived section would now be moved to the bottom and you wont see that on the top.
You should keep in your mind that,moving the archived section on the bottom would not keep the archived chats as archived permanently. Whenever a new message is sent by the person whose chat has been archived, the chat would now be visible as normal chat and no longer be remain archived.
If you dont want a chat to be unarchived, you should keep the Keep Chats Archived ON. This would however, bring back the archived section on the top of the chat screen.
