How To Unsilence an iPhone

If you have enabled the do not disturb mode on your phone to disable all the alerts and sounds on your phone and you now want to Unsilence Calls then, you may follow the steps as under:

Step 1: Open Settings (Gear Icon) on your phone.

Step 2: Go to Do Not Disturb (Moon Icon) in the available settings options.

Step 3: Disable the Do Not Disturb option the moving the toggle to the left.

Shortcut: You can enable and disable the Do Not Disturb mode easily with a single tap from the Control Settings. Follow the simple steps:

1. Pull down from the top or Pull up from the bottom as your device supports to discover the Control Settings.
2. Tap on the moon icon from the avaiable options to enable and disable as required.

Bonus Tip: You can actually unsilence calls of only some people while keeping the Do Not Disturb Mode on. Doing this, your phone would be on do not disturb mode for everything except for the calls from the pople whom you wan to be unsilent.

To do this, follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on Do Not Disturb.
3. Tap on Phone.
4. Then go to Allow calls from.
5. You would now see Groups, choose that contact you want to be unsilent.

Performing the above steps would enable calls and messages with sound and notification only from the people you’ve added to the group.

How To Unsilence Calls on an iPhone

If you have not enabled the Do Not Disturb Mode, however, your phone has been silent and is not ringing you might have either Enabled the silent mode or Turn down the ringer volume.

If you have enabled the silent mode you can disable it from the Control Settings or if your ringer volume is down follow the steps as mentioned.

Step 1: Open the Settings and go to Sounds & Haptics.

Step 2: Increase the Volume as required.

You can also enable or disable certain features like Vibration, etc.
