Unlike Instagram, Snapchat does not offer its users an option to deactivate their accounts temporarily. Instead, it keeps your account intact for 30 days after you delete it. So, your Snapchat account will be in a state of temporary deactivation.
Nobody on Snapchat can see and interact with your account for 30 days. You would be able to reactive your account if you log into Snapchat within 30 days. However, you will lose your account if you cannot log into Snapchat within the given time limit.

Apple recently introduced a policy that forces apps to give users an option to delete their accounts without leaving the apps. The new policy has caused many apps, including Instagram and Snapchat, to include an account deletion option. It has made deleting a Snapchat account easier than before.
Here is how you can delete your Snapchat account on your iPhone without leaving the app.
Step1: Open the Snapchat app on your iPhone.
Step2: Access your profile screen by hitting your Bitmoji avatar in the upper-right corner.
Step3: Tap the cog icon, then select Delete Account under the Account Actions section. That will lead you to the Snapchat accounts portal.
Step4: Provide your email or username and password in the relevant fields. Afterward, follow the on-screen instruction on the screen to delete your account.
Remember, you have only deactivated your Snapchat account at the moment. However, you will lose it if you fail to log into your account within the next 30 days.
